Jackpot.com Joins 2025 Gift Responsibly Campaign to Raise Awareness of Youth Gambling Risks

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Today Jackpot.com announced its commitment as a Lottery Level 1 participant of the 2025 Gift Responsibly Campaign, joining lotteries and community organizations across North America and around the world to raise awareness about the risks of underage lottery use. The campaign is organized by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and supported by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

Research supports that early exposure to or participation in gambling during childhood is highly correlated with the development of a gambling problem later in life. Gambling exposure during childhood is often through a lottery product, such as lottery tickets or scratch offs. Often these items are given to a child by an adult who is unaware of the associated risks.

“At Jackpot.com, we believe that access to lottery products must always come with responsible play at the forefront,” said Akshay Khanna, CEO of Jackpot.com. “The Gift Responsibly Campaign is a powerful reminder that lottery tickets are never appropriate gifts for children, and we’re proud to help amplify that message. Protecting young people from early exposure to gambling isn’t just good practice - it’s an essential part of building a safer, healthier ecosystem for every player.”

As a participant of the 2025 Gift Responsibly Campaign, during the months of November and December Jackpot.com will work to promote awareness about the risks of underage lottery use by posting educational messages to social media to promote responsible gambling and the risks of underage gambling.

“Youth gambling is a growing risk that too often goes overlooked. The Gift Responsibly Campaign plays a vital role in helping families and communities understand the importance of keeping lottery products out of kids’ hands,” said Derek Longmeier, President of NCPG’s Board of Directors. “We’re grateful to Jackpot.com for joining this effort and working to expand education and awareness to protect young people from gambling-related harm.”

Jackpot.com’s involvement in the Gift Responsibly Campaign reflects the company’s broader commitment to building the safest, most transparent lottery experience in the industry. From day one, Jackpot.com has embedded responsible gaming principles into its product design, customer education, and operational policies. This includes mandatory age verification, default daily spending limits, real-time play monitoring, and clear messaging throughout the customer experience to help users make informed decisions.

Jackpot.com also invests heavily in player protection tools and continuous staff training to ensure that responsible gaming isn't treated as a compliance requirement but as a core value that shapes every feature, workflow, and customer touchpoint. The company’s iCap certification - earned through a rigorous independent assessment - further demonstrates its commitment to meeting and exceeding established best practices for consumer safety.
