FONDA Sophomore Kyle Hanson tossed four innings of scoreless relief to help Fonda-Fultonville to a 12-3 come-from-behind victory over St. Johnsville in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game, Thursday.
Hanson struck out seven and did not give up a hit. He has allowed just one hit in eight innings pitched this spring.
"He (Hanson) really loaded up on his fastball but his curveball was breaking off the planet," said Fonda-Fultonville head coach Rick Palumbo. "He completely took over the game. We'll definitely be using him in the future."
The victory snapped F-F's three-game losing streak.
St. Johnsville led 3-0 before F-F took control with an 11-run outburst in the fourth inning. Kevin Hanson ignited the rally with two doubles and five RBI.
The Braves got solid production from various players. Sean Meyers lined three singles, Tyler Hall added two singles and Josh Nethaway ripped a solo home run his seventh homer of the season.
Luke Nethaway, Kyle Hanson and Mike Kaczor each had a single for the Braves.
Evan Springer had two singles to lead St.Johnsville.
F-F (10-3, 11-5) travels to Mayfield next Monday.
