Randy, Travis, Cedric and Me
I have a problem (no, I can let my parole officer read this) and it involves Randy Moss, Travis Henry and Cedric Benson, come to think of it, anything involving Moss and Henry probably violates parole. Let me tell you the backstory. In a league with a 7-2 team. But my starting RBs are Henry, he of the bad knee, future suspension and 32 pending paternity suits and Benson who does more dancing behind the line than a politician during a debate. I've survived with them in place but it's like driving down a hill blindfolded, hands tied behind your back and in a three-day Wild Turkey stupor (hey, only did it twice).
So, I need another player to matchup with Tony Romo and the newly exciting Lee Evans. Who comes aboard but Randolph Moss (is his name really Randolph or am I crazy). One of the better teams in the league is offering Moss around. Dude has a bye week issue and needs to win this week. He offers Moss and Big Ben, plus Kenny Watson for Romo, Gates and Cooley (TEs are WRs in this league). I should jump, right? Moss is BMOC and the Big Ben/Romo trade off isn't bad. And with my RB issue I need studs. Here's why I haven't pulled the trigger: The Patriots will clinch in a week or two. While they could sit people, they probably don't until they lose. If they lose everyone gets at least a day off. This league plays Week 17. A day off is killer. I'm going to toss breakfast.
So that's my sad story. The replacements I have at RB (Morris, Dunn, Norwood) aren't great choices and Randy looms over me like an executioner. Still, I'm 7-2 with a three-game lead. I should stop whining.
