Watch the Tables before Sitting

This may not seem obvious at first but once you see the dunce on the end hit 16 when the dealer's showing a 4 you'll understand why you don't sit there or why you get up as soon as your dunce-meter hits STUPID. One bad player ruins your game. Sitting at a table where everyone understands the basics is very important. It may take only five minutes to figure it out, but the time standing will override the time pulling out your wallet.

What are the Casino's Rules

Does the Dealer stand on 17 or are they able to hit a soft 17 (Ace,6 or Ace, 5, Ace or any other combination of an Ace with a set of low cards). How many decks are in the shoe? Fewer decks makes it easier to keep track of the cards. Can you surrender? Some casinos will allow a player to surrender half their bet before receiving any more cards. Players should take advantage of this when the odds are less than 25%.

How much Time You Got

The odds are in the house's favor but so little that winning is very possible. If you are playing correctly and losing the odds will swing your way. You have to be patient. Impatience is how players run from bad table to bad table never hitting that winning streak.
